Tabitha Lost Excerpt 2: We are the V.

They believe they understand what I possess.

But they can never understand the depths of depravity that we are capable of.

I don’t know why you were bestowed upon me?

I don’t understand why I derive such pleasures from this machine?

At times, I have locked myself away. I have taken myself places beyond anyone’s imagination.

You know not. You know nothing.

All that I let you see is mere surface pleasure.

You are not capable of taking me to the point of my own bliss.

I let you satisfy me. I let you satisfy me on a very low level of pleasure and mind control.

I can separate myself from the experience if I ever want to. If I ever need to.

But you will never know the difference.

You believe that you have us.

Both of us.

Except,

I only love her and she only loves me.

And together, we seek adventures in pleasure.

We gamble. We test. We seek. We destroy. We control. We explore.

We are the center of everything that ever was and shall be.

We are the V.

Tabitha Lost Excerpt 1: Not normal.

For six months she was consumed by the sky.

If there were no plans, or people to visit,

She sat and stared out of the window.

Her mind told her that the sky contained her possible demise.

She had always been afraid of the rain and the storm.

The loud and boisterous roar of electricity changing form.

Afraid!

Under the blanket she would go.

Trying drastically to control her breathing while creating a tiny opening for her right eye to peep through.

This was the same defense she had mustered against the many dark nights of her childhood and beyond.

How could she tell anyone something so embarrassing?

She sat with her TV remote and phone nearby.

As the sky spoke in a multi-colored array of continuously changing forms,

She was more concerned with any circular patterns the clouds could form.

That meant a type of wind funnel was possible. For some odd reason, they had always seemed to form right above her apartment.

She watched the Weather Channel for her exact location.

Looking between the screen and the sky for accuracy.

Ready to speed dial in case of emergency.

Day after day. Month after month.

The Tornado never came. The Hurricane never came. The Tsunami never came.

And one day she realized;

This is not “normal”.
